Everyone has been blowing up my Facebook wall with this video.  What I find sickening about it is how everyone is acting like this is the father of the year or some shit like that.

Despite what the general consensus seems to be on facebook, I do not believe this guy is a good parent. If the girl is right in everything she says, which, he does say she is, then she is justified in everything she said. Maybe she didnt handle it the right way by posting on facebook, but there are a couple of issues with this. One, being that shes 15, so thats expected. And second, the probability that she doesn’t live in a home where she would have at least been listened to, but rather had been given a speech about what he did when he was in college and high school and worked. Which by the way, he makes evidence of in his little speech here. 

Also, while you expect behavior like this from a 15 year old girl, you dont expect it from a grown ass man. His behavior by doing this is childish at best. He should confront her to her face, like an adult is supposed to behave. Hes not teaching her anything by following her example. Also, attempting to publicly humiliate her to teach her a lesson is at the very least borderline abusive, which can and probably will have repercussions that will follow her into her adult life.  It is obvious by her letter that she absolutely hates her father, and judging by his response with this video, I would have to honestly say rightly so.

In her defense, Kids now days do get way too much homework. I have heard numerous parents even complain that their kids get home from school and get started on their homework, and despite working until late hours at night, still cant get it all done. If she has to do this, on top of constantly getting them coffee, then I call bullshit on him. If she cleans, which he agrees that she does, and he goes in and makes a mess again, she has every right to complain. And while she should have chores, why is an allowance for them a bad idea? How does that teach your kids the value of hard work? This is not to totally let her off, but she does have a valid argument. I see parents all the time who treat their kids like indentured servants, while at the same time acting like their kids are an inconvenience at best. I see it all the time. Most of them wouldn’t even see it in themselves. My question, is if you have this mentality, why the hell did you want kids in the first place then?

Now Im not saying shes off the hook. But shes a kid. But his behavior is pathetic at best, and shows a severe lack of judgement.  He just seems to be trying to get attention online, unfortunately, its at his daughters expense.   I think for him, and any parent who agrees with him and endorses his behavior, should have their parenting brought into question.

Anyway, just my opinion.  Had to get that out.

This woman cured her Multiple Sclerosis completely using diet alone.  Amazing story, and not the least bit surprising to me though.
